Two colleagues editing a shared document on screen

Documents your team can trust, on infrastructure you own

Real-time collaborative documents, spreadsheets, and boards with zero-knowledge encryption, nobody but your team can read the content.

The Problem

Documents scattered across personal accounts

When teams collaborate through personal Google or Dropbox accounts, the organisation loses track of who has access, where copies live, and what happens when someone leaves.

What weserberg.net Provides

CryptPad, run for your organisation

CryptPad for real-time document collaboration with zero-knowledge encryption. No server can read your documents, not even ours.

Documents & Spreadsheets

Real-time co-editing, comments, and version history, organised by your team's own folder structure.

Kanban Boards

Lightweight boards for planning, shared alongside your documents in the same workspace.

Forms & Polls

Collect structured input from your team or partners without a third-party survey tool.

Shareable Links

Share a document with view or edit access via a link, without creating an account for every partner.

How It's Operated Securely

Zero-knowledge by design

Encryption and decryption happen entirely in your browser. The server only ever stores encrypted data it cannot itself read.

CryptPad runs self-hosted, isolated per organisation. Client-side encryption means the server sees only ciphertext and access-control metadata, never document content. Backups are encrypted, and access is tied to the same account system as your other weserberg.net services.

Good Fit If…

You want a Google Docs / Notion alternative for internal documents, meeting notes, and lightweight planning boards.

Not a Good Fit If…

Your team relies heavily on complex spreadsheet macros or enterprise pivot tables, CryptPad's spreadsheet is lighter than Excel by design.

Sustainability note: Shared documents, calendars, and files reduce tool fragmentation and duplicated work across teams.
